Book Fangirling Blogger Award! :D

You might be wondering where I must have disappeared off to, eh?
That is, if you were constantly stalking my blog in hopes of an update.
I have my final exams going on right now, so I disappeared for a while.
And now, I'm back with a really short, quick post which is the Book Fangirling Blogger Award!
I got nominated for this award by the lovely Adriana Gil, who runs the blog 'Everything You Like'! Her blogposts range from awesome-sauce anime reviews to vivid descriptions of her experiences! So, do check out her blog, dear reader!
So, in this blogger award, we are supposed to answer the questions given out by the person who nominated us (in my case, it's Adriana) and then nominate five other people who will answer questions made by us!
Here goes nothing! :)
1. What's your favorite book?
Honestly speaking, this is a tough question.
I've been reading books since I was nine years old and there have been so many books that have had a deep impact about my menta…

Love Is

Mixed verse.
***

Contrary to popular opinion,
Love is,
A lot more than,
Grand gestures, passionate declarations;
Love is when a mother,
Comforts you so your pain goes away,
Gives your forehead a gentle kiss,
And a warm hug that's pure bliss;
Love is when a father,
Sits beside and patiently, teaches you,
Everything about the mysteries of life,  Stays strong beside you during a dark strife;
Love is when a grandma, Makes you laugh,
With her hilarious anecdotes,
Of a village life filled with trees and boats;
Love is when a grandpa,
Pats your back,
Just so you peacefully fall asleep,
In times when you can only weep;
Love is when an uncle and aunt,
Take you out on weekends,
To celestial planetariums, glittering musicals,
 Each moment with them is simply magical;
Love is when a little cousin,
Barges into your room,
And bosses over you,
Tells you what to do;
Love is when you see,
A baby cousin,
Saying your name correctly, out loud,
Strangely, you can't help but feel proud;

A Letter Of Gratitution

Dear God (or any other superior being that presides over our lives),
Hi there.  I know, a lot of people out there doubt the fact that You exist. I know, a lot of people out there apparently know that You don't exist (because there's no 'scientific proof' or maybe because they want to sound cool because come on, haters are the 'new cool'.) But, after years of being confused and befuddled whether You're really there or not, I've realized that You are there. You are there within each and every one of us. You're there in the air, You're there in the water, You're there on the earth, You're everywhere. You are infinite and You don't have a typical form. You have a strong presence though, which always, always helps people to move forward. You help people, not directly or magically, but with your mere presence. You're Hope, You're the Light that people find in a dark abyss. You're the Giver of positivity and it's only up…

Frankly My Dear, There’s Not One Romantic Bone In My Body

Since Valentine’s Day is around the corner, I thought this post was long overdue.
A word of advice before I start with this:
I’m not the kind of girl who’s into hearts and flowers and all that mush.
(Ew. That made me sound like Christian Grey)
Anyway.
I’m not the kind of a girl who’s interested in getting cuddly-cuddly teddy bears. I’m not the kind of girl who’s interested in going to dates to a romantic restaurant like Madame Puddifoot’s. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who loves to advertise how much she loves her people.
Oh, and like my mother and my grandmother (that is, my mom’s mother), I hate getting hugged.
There are so many reasons I can give as to why it’s a very, very bad idea to romance me.
A.If you buy me teddy bears, I’d give them to my one-year-old cousin:
Yep. It’s true. It’s not that I don’t like teddy bears. But I like my Pluto stuff-toy the best. He’s been my companion for the past sixteen years, gifted to me by my uncle.
My one-year-old cousin, on the other hand,…

Where Had I Vanished?

No, I wasn't abducted by aliens.
Nor was I whisked off to Hogwarts or Camp Half-Blood.
(I wish that would have happened!)
I'm too busy trying to know myself and adjusting in a new school (here, they call it 'junior college'. But for your sake - and mine - I wish to call it school!). I'm learning new stuff and the environment in my new school sucks. Everyone is so bloody competitive and you gotta work your butt off if you wish to be "at the top!"
Unfortunately, since I'd been in the same school for ten years, it was difficult to adjust to the new surroundings. None of my old school's friends were there and more than half the kids came from different boards of education.
It was tough to adjust to the new curriculum and new people. The kids were so starkly different from the ones I'd hung out with at school. They were like, super-smart and being in the presence of such... such brilliant kids made me feel insecure.
It wasn't just that.
